A fine, elegant, savory, medium bodied Tempranillo blend, it combines toasted character with ripe black fruit, dried cherries, orange peel and dried herbs. 2009 was a year of ripeness the wine is powerful but has racy acidity, concentrated tannins, and great finesse. Wonderfully composed and unique.

Rosemary Cakebread has made quite a name for herself in the wine industry. In doing so she wanted to make wines under her own label using her experiences from working in Napa and Bordeaux. This Syrah has elegance and gravitas. Unfined and unfiltered, dense and complex with dried cocoa dust, black tea, leather and tobacco it’s such a pleasant surprise to find a wine with such muscularity and supple, polished tannins.

2014 Cayuse Armada 220

Cayuse is one of the premiere wine makers out of Washington with a cult like following. From the Champagne region of France, Christophe Baron took a stony patch of land in Walla Walla and turned it into one of the best wineries in the country. Syrah has almost meaty with floral and black raspberry notes in this full bodied, burly wine. Also has mineral underpinning and refined tannins making it both elegant yet rich.

2019 My Favorite Neighbor Cabernet Sauvignon 100

The wine is remarkable and features delicious flavors of black cherry, ripe plum and fig compote is joined by notes of medium roast coffee and crème brulee. Hefty structure in this wine characterized with luxurious silky tannins and a long finish.

2017 Adaption by Odette 110

Odette is the sister winery to PlumpJack out of Stag’s Leap. The wine redefines approachability, a fusion of fruit flavors; currants, red cherries and cocoa covered blueberries with wispy notes of forest floor and bittersweet chocolate. 2015 Rodney Strong’s Alexander ‘s Crown 135

Family owned winery is touted as the first vineyard in Alexander Valley to make a single vineyard Cabernet, the Alexander’s crown comes from their southernmost single vineyard which has cooler temperatures and creates an elegant but flavorful Cabernet. The voluptuous wine has notes of ripe black currants, blackberries and violets with soft tannins and a long lingering finish with notes of dried herbs and mocha.
